-The Tag-

Let's imagine that you like to read books and watch documentaries about aliens..
So you somewhat have 'background schemata' about aliens..
and one day - you just got lucky (or unlucky)
you've been selected by alien forces to take a one-way trip to their dimension.
yes, one-way trip.
and you can't refuse their invitation because you've been 'selected'.
(that means even if you don't want to go, they'll still 'take' (read: illegally abduct) you.

as a dramatic add-on to your departure, the aliens assigned you to compose a semi-autobiographical goodbye note for all of those whom you are leaving behind, according to the questions below:

1.a list of things you like/liked best:

person: my parents (of course!)
colour: peach, red, black
number: um... any number will do
clothing: my wardrobe.. (is that allowed?)
food: mum’s spaghetti
pastime/activity/hobby: reading and writing, surfing the net
music: ‘The Prophet’s Hands’ (Dawud’s), ‘Atas Nama Cinta’ (UNIC), ‘Setanggi Syurga’ (inTEAM) and ‘Saujana’ (saujana)
book: In The Early Hours by Khurram Murad, Guide to Personal Tarbiyah, VT by Hilal Asyraf, Rooftop Rant by Hlovate, RADHA by Rynsa... (the list can go on forever!)
hangout place: anywhere that’s not noisy and crowded
friend: aniem, maryam, izyan, fatin, saeideh...
movie: The Message, Muhannad at-Tohir, Sang Murabbi, Spy Kids, Baby Genius, What a Girl Wants

2. things you wished you did more of:
More amal soleh and get myself closer to HIM

3. your final message to _________ (fill in as many messages to as many people you like, i.e: to my little sis, I'm sorry we quarrelled a lot...)
just... sorry everyone.. n take care of ur iman, amal and health! And may the aliens send me back.. (is that possible?)

>> a very illogical piece of tag, but i finished it, so.. hope u’re happy flint! And sorry if it is a bit late..

<< Short Advertisement >>

Assalamualaikum to all...

i know.. i haven't been updating lately.  The finals are just around the corner and so I'm reducing my time being in front of the computer.  This time, the post is just a short one:  advertising my junior's (from primary school) book..

The book is a very good one, with a nice storyline; filled with suspense, humor, thrill, friendship, with an added bonus: a deep message of the true way of life for a Muslim. Anyways... the book will be out at PWTC at 17th April Book Fair, so check it out..

to read more of the book, you can check out THIS PAGE

To know more about the author, visit:  langitilahi.com

>> For those of u in the midst of a final exam, or nearing theirs (as I am) may Allah help u in studiying and answering your questions.  Rely on HIM alone, and insyaAllah, HE'll give us the best for ourselves (but we do have to study though..that's the concept of tawakkal rite.. )

have to get back to my notes..  wassalam everyone..

Cell Phone & The Quran

Just copying a very nice email here....

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Quran like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried  it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped  through it several time a day?

What if we turned  back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it  to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated  it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it  to kids as gifts?

What if we used it  when we traveled?

What if we used it  in case of emergency?

This is something  to make you go....hmm... where is my Quran?.

 Oh, and one more  thing.

Unlike our cell  phone, we don't have to worry about our Quran being
 disconnected

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And  no dropped calls!.

 P. S.  DO WHAT YOU THINK ALLAH SWT WOULD WANT YOU TO DO WITH  THIS EMAIL

Trust in ALLAH SWT  and *ASAP (Always Say A Prayer).

Islam in Old Islamic Cario

On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: Allah the Almighty said:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me,
I shall forgive you for what you have done,
and I shall not mind. O son of Adam,
were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky
and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me,
I would forgive you.
O son of Adam,
were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth
and were you then to face Me,
ascribing no partner to Me,
I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah
(may Allah be pleased with him),
who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah said:

I have prepared for My righteous servants w hat no eye has seen
and no ear has heard,
not has it occurred to human heart.

>> Quote of The Day <<

Just sharing a new quote from 'Hlovate'...

To live hell or live well, WE choose

Life's not a bed of roses.  there will be storms along the way.  But remember to stick by the right path (unless if you choose otherwise), work hard and pray so that Allah will present us with a rainbow at the end of the day.  And make a change for the better.  For only WE can change ourselves, with HIS help, of course.

Allah had even said, in His loveletters... (not the exact words...)

"Allah will not change a society unless they change themselves..."

So... what's your choice?  How will you get to there?
(something for all of us to ponder..)

Temporary!!!

This world is but a short stop.  A short break in this journey towards our ultimate destination, The Hereafter..

Just a reminder.... to myself especially.  For when busy-ness of this world caught up, it is sometimes a nessissity (mind the spelling) to just step back and remind ourselves of this fact.  So that no matter how busy we are with worldy stuff, we won't forget to do our duty to Allah, to our parents and friends...

Exam is Oficially Over...

The midsem exams had ended at last last friday... Alhamdulillah...
How did it go? Okey... i guess, so.. Alhamdulillah..
thanx for those who prayed for me to make it easier..

Yet it's been a hectic week. I'm looking forward to the holidays this thursday, to have a few days off.

What else have I been up to?  Basically, still searching for strength and guidance from Him, and looking for the best way to move and work for Islam in this campus.  Undoubtedly, the work is always there, yet it seems that I have yet discovered the best route and path to move around...

Also, admittedly, I am currently missing someone... someone who have had pushed me forward for almost a year and a half now.  Helping me out and showing me the way to improve myself...  She is currently overseas, as she is taking a course which requires her to do twinning there.

Dear self, do not be sad... for no matter what, Allah is always with you.  And He knows what is best for you.  Take every hardship, and face them as stepping stones towards improving yourself, your imaan and personality.  Face each day with a smile, no matter how difficult things may be.  There will always be a silver lining after every cloud..

~ Signing off.. ~

>> no current articles for 'reminders' or tazkirah.. sorry.. I'm still trying to write one..
